Surfing Spot in Veraguas
  Surfing Spot in Veraguas The province of Veraguas is located in Panama´s central region and some of them are part of the Azuero Peninsula and is the only province in the country that has coasts on both seas: Pacific and Caribbean. The province is an ideal destination for nature lovers, especially for ecological and adventure tourism. You can travel from the capital by means of the Inter-American Highway to the city of Santiago and from there to the Pacific coast to the most popular spots of the province.

The Pacific Coast of Veraguas is previledged with beautiful beaches and islands, many of them ideal for surfing, with powerful waves that reach 20 feet high, with breaks from left to the right, breaking the beach, rock and corals with specific swirls. Among the most prefered beaches are: Mariato, in the district of Mariato and Santa Catalina in the district of Soná are two of the most important in the region and site of national and international surfing competitions.

There is also Estero Break beach, Punta Brava, Punta Roca, Isla Cébaco and Isla Coiba. In Coiba island there are a number of surfing spots, but the majority are still virgen, only the southwestern has been surfed. You can enjoy the sun, sea, and a diversity of beaches in its surrounding area, navigation, diving, fishing as well as other attractions in the region.
